A Cry to Save the Babies

I’ve seen the scared bodies, once ablaze with fire and ash, thrown into the inferno, for no explanation, justified to man.

I’ve read the horrifying stories of children sacrificed at brith, rescued by missionaries, who pleaded with some tribe, “That baby wasn’t cursed”.

I’ve looked on the photo of a mummy girl, wrapped in cloth, given to the “gods” as a sacrifice for some cause; possibly, to pour down rain on their crops.

Child sacrifice isn’t extinct and it isn’t new.

It exists in many forms, all throughout the world, including the U.S.

But the worst of all scheme’s, is satan’s act, of convincing the very wombs, created in God’s image to care and protect, to destroy the child living within it.

That a hurting mom’s mind could wrap around the lie, that she has the right or is entitled to kill a child…kill a part of who she is.

God, in His goodness and mercy, made us to reproduce.

Our cells reproduce, our hands work to produce, our very lives were given to create life and care for the reproduction of all creation, all around us.

But what about when that reproducing stops?

What about when we play God and cut off that right, end that task of recreating and creating, turn to science, retracting this gift God has given us?

The elderly are stuck inside nursing homes. Still, the best care facilities know, they needs crafts and music, tasks to fill their minds and keep their residents busy.

The elderly garden with their hands, sew or make projects to fulfill that desire in them to keep on producing, even in their old age.

Then, there are other old people homes, where people just sit. We all have seen them. Useless and idol, isolated in a day of Coronavirus.

And yet, they say, “The loneliness is more painful than dying.”

Because we weren’t made to be alone. We weren’t made to sit without working and creating. We weren’t made modern day robots to keep plucking away at selfish tasks that don’t benefit anybody.

We were made to give, work, connect, and produce.

My forteen year-old lit up the other day when I mentioned therapeutic horse training. Part hearing impaired and having experienced the challenges of her disability…

Compassion gifted her. Selflessness spirred in her as she signed up right then and there, to donate her time.

She has helped the disabled ride. Giving, despite her own obstacles and challenges.

Because a moon that isn’t full, still doesn’t fail to shine. It lights up the sky.

Just like all of life, that has equal value and possession.

Near the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, our U.S. President Biden signed a law re-inacting the payment of abortions for people around the world. Brown babies targeted.

Dark-skinned children like my four precious babies never experiencing a breath, an embrace, a chance to give their lives to help someone else.

I have heard it said…

Kids with special needs are a gift to us as a society. They teach us grace and humility, patience and kindness.

When God allows a faculty to be taken away from an infant, God replaces that child with extra gifts.

And I have known that to be true with my own children. I have seen that happen, time and time again, in talking with families with special needs children.

My friend has a heart for Down Syndrome kids. Her doctor just told her, they are getting more rare and extinct. Why? Because parent’s are aborting these children at an increasingly rapid rate.

Instead of adoptiong them out to the thousands of waiting families, a parent takes fate into their own hands and determines the destiny of these children.

Will my friend keep pursueing Down Syndrome adoption? Absolutely. Will it be harder, with the “god of science” pushing parents to be their own god, pre-selecting which kids are deemed to live, which ones are deemed to die?

Of course it will.

And so, tragically, we as a modern day generation, keep sacrificing our children.

We may not “throw them in the fire”, but we use our own methods of determining their worth, choosing which ones are worth keeping, and which ones we can get rid of.

We play god, by placing price tags on races, gender, birth defects, and then discarding those we find “less pricey”, less “wanted”.

Brown? Black? Birth defect? Poor? Wrong gender? When will this human selecting of sacred human life end?

We teach our mothers, success is financial. Then society pushes mothers to abandon their babies at two, four, or six weeks old, giving them to strangers at daycares…

Then, public school systems take over the gift of raising our greatest treasures.

We flash images in the faces of our fathers, of beer, or traveling, or independence…

Instead of cultivating a society that media can’t destroy, of father’s loving and nurturinging their families.

We have tossed out the Bible, let media, Hollywood and politicians decide how we treat people and who we cater to.

We let strangers convince us, who we discard based on personal preferences and those we ignorance based on societal expectations.

And God is not pleased.

He told Adam, “It is not good to be alone”.

He gave Eve, the gift of reproducing.

He blessed them both with the task of working to take care of God’s creation.

So, why have we chosen to destroy creation? Our children? Our neighbors? Ourselves?

Who has taught us utopia is a land where we all get to play god and then warn, death will come to those who step in our way?

I don’t know about you, but I want to live in a day where black and brown babies aren’t targeted for abortion…

Where life isn’t selected based on the color of ones skin or the medical needs that might be projected, from one failing ultrasound report.

One of my daughter’s wasn’t supposed to be healthy. Her ultrasound made her a perfect candidate for abortion.

But her birth mom still chose life. She kept believing, and praying for her vialantly and faithfully.

Today, that daughter is the happiness, most joyous child you will ever meet.

She spreads life like rays of sunshine beaming across the landscape.

And I say, if we are Christians….no, if we are humans….we need to evolve from the belief that life and death are in our hands.

We need to bow to our Creator and ask for forgiveness for playing god….

For allowing a modern day U.S. President to fund the abortion of children around the world.

And just like in Scripture, in the days where people would sacrifice their children to the god, Molech…

We will be held accountable for the blood that’s on our hands.

Shouldn’t we repent…

Begin again by giving God authority over all we are, all we know, and the “rules” we make up as a society to justify the aborting of innocent lives?

He is the author of life. We are just His vessels.

Oh God, won’t you forgive us.

Please, intervene in the heart of humanity and rise again, in each of us. Give us a passion, to fight for children,

Come God, save the babies.
