How I fell in Love. Again.

Sitting longer than I should.  I hear her raspy voice.  Heart cry.  Over the radio.

“Je-e-sussss.”

“Desire of the nations.  Risen coming king.  Holding the septor of justice.  You reign.”

And I am caught again.  In the net of your beauty.

Dances like butterflies rise in those dead parts inside me….bringing them to life.

And as the menuendo crescendos.  Faith rises like the earth wakening in spring.

Alive.  Unstiffened.  Risen from it’s sleep.

And fresh air fills my caving chest.  Mind clearing as it takes hold of praise.

And I am caught up. Dancing with my once Pinoccio parts….tied to the world.

Unraveled by the praise.

Like a real girl.  Becoming free from the wood stricken soul.

And I can breath again.

Softened to this sound of praise.

Mind clearing from doubt.  And must do’s.  And need to’s that bind me to……religion.

And the music continues…..

“Give me Je-e-sussss..  You can have all this world.  Give me Je-e-sussss.”

And where have I traded up…..Peace?  Jesus? Praise? Solitude?  Stillness of soul….For petty things?

How has life snuck up and grabbed a hold the thoughts of Victory?

Taken joy, freedom that keeps us dancing…..without strings.

Yes, this worship is my solace.  That lures me to His heart.

This moment of my deliverance.  As His song….the beauty of His name…..slowly, encumberedly steals my heart.

And I am in love again.

As joyful praise and untied worship flows and floods relentlessly, uninhibited….

Freeing hearts to love.

Love again. With a praise that has no strings.

    Your words challenge me.

I get so caught up in being busy busy busy…..

and then at the end of the day, the artist’s sunset palette draws my eyes heavenward and then my heart responds as glowing bright orange fire glows under dark gray clouds and
I am caught again. In the net of your beauty.
