The Gift on 1 year Blog Anniversary.

I am not sure what woke me. Strolling closely to the double french doors staring from my canopy bed.

Peering over the balcony rail.  Groggy. Foggy in my head.

I spot them. Tendering walking.  Fluffy tails. Strolling as if the night before, they didn’t hear gun shots, or barking dogs, or lawn mowers eating tall blades of grass.

Walking.  Tenderly.  Through stretching grass. Near the house.  Nibbling on the fruit trees.  Crossing the meadow to get a drink from the pond where I get my ponderings at.

And I watch them for twenty minutes. Two children still sleeping.  While, another mother and her two fawn graze our field in the back of our house.

And I wondered why now?  Why after three years living here….do we finally see deer?

The balcony becoming the prop, for my camera.  Videos.  Pictures to capture those that won’t believe….

The wonder of it all.

And I read….God Words…..as I take it all in.

“The earth is FULL of His glory.” Yet, how often do I miss it….making school lunches, getting breakfast, scurrying young feet on toward their bus’.

Sitting near wall of windows.  I watch them.  Opening up my blog and my heart to what God wants to say.  And I scroll down, trying to find an older piece I all of the sudden am compelled to read.

And it hits me.

How long have I been writing this blog?

I search the date. Then, scan the date at the bottom of the screen.  And find a coincidence that words can’t explain.

This exact day is my blog’s one year anniversary.

So, I let free words leap upon this page…as unharnessed deer leap across our land.

Bowing my head, ever so thankful.  For the glory found in The Creators Hand…..

And the deer I see grazing out my window.
