Guaranteed Hope and Reports of Miracles Amidst the Flames

In a world of statistics and calculations, reports and diagnosis; science has made its way into every stream or label today.

We have integrated mathmatics and probability, intellect and conclusions into virtually every catagory of our belief systems; and that includes Christianity.

Yet, what if God still moves in a way that defies odds? What if His logic isn’t always logical at all? What if He doesn’t always just do what is explainable?

This week, as the Notra Dame Cathedral, in France, reached the heavens with its flames, many grieves the loss of history, a legacy and their own personal memories of walking such holy grounds.

Even the calloused drowned Twitter and other social media with their heartbreak-felt despair at such a beautiful relic disappearing into the ashes God once said we also originated from.

The rich gave millions to Notra Dame’s repairs, the heartless began grieving, the famous pledged their loyalty to an emblem that signified very little of their current living situations.

So, what was it?

Why did we grieve its skyline reaching points so, the echoing chambers, the holy stillness of a place some might say had more intrinsic worth than the empire’s many built for themselves?

And is it a coincidence the fire happened Easter week? Or that the Son coddled by Mary at the foot of the crucifix survived the flames this week?

Despite the flames, the blazing inferno, the hot blazes we witnessed from live cam’s or in photos on Facebook….the altar, a cross, and stainglass windows remain preserved despite the flames. (Read the Full story here)

Ashes lay scattered and disinigrating on the isle where people once sat but now sketelin of benches remain….

Yet, the cross remained dignified through the flames; untouched, unscathed, remaining for all to see.

Smoke simmered while firefighters witnessed the beauty of the gloriously still-standing cross.

But before you start thinking the cross standing is chance or coincidence….please join me in reading here, another story about“The Miraculous Survival of a Wooden Cross” happening in 2018. The cross remaining brings “Hope to a Church Decimated by Wildfires”.

Still don’t believe? Watch about the World Trade Towers cross, found after the 9/11 Terrorist Attack or better yet, watch Remembering 9/11: The Ground Zero Cross on the History Channel regarding this story.

The Cross has always been a powerful symbol of hope, faith, and love for many.

Think these kind of miracles are only for the high and holy? Read about a family whose wall of crosses survived a Texas Tornado or how Bibles and Crosses Miraculously Survived a West Virginia Fire, Untouched. here

My favorite photos to reflect upon are these. During the Southern California fires, the following photos were actually captured of a cross standing bold, unscathed amidst the heavens-rising blazes.

I guarantee the following images will grip you and stick with you, long after you have shut your computer or put down your phone. (Must See: Cross that Survives the Fire Near Big Tugunga Fire Station.)

Oh, God doesn’t just protect through the flames. In California, a mudslide swept through the region, and much like the Notra Dame Cathedral, both stainglass windows and the crucifix still remained. (Watch: California Mudslide Devestates Church Except for Stained Glass Window and Crucifix)

But did you know, God also still can stop the waves? Don’t believe me? Read how, Eucharistic Stopped the Wave on the small island of Tumaco, here.

Even an Alabama man says it’s a sign when his Grandfather’s Bible Survives a Massive House Fire.

Isn’t it amazing how God leaves reminders of His grace and His mercy amidst the most difficult circumstances?

Last up….

A blogger who I adore, Linny Saunders. experienced a similar miracle when her family’s home caught on fire. She shares her story in her blog, called, “A Place Called Simplicity”. Read Linny’s incredible story here.

Linny is an adoptive mom, like us. She has a pile of “treasures” and I love her blog as it is always filled with faith and encouragement, both big and small little miracles almost every time I stop there.

See, when disaster and hardship comes….God often leaves an emblem of His grace…some kind of sign that He was present even amidst the pain.

At Easter, I am especially excited about this reminder, knowing…

After the crucifixion always comes the resurrection.

No, new life might not come when or how we want. It might not always be easy, or how we expected….

But friends, I promise you….and Scripture tells us….

Beauty always, always, ALWAYS rises from the ashes.

Which one of these is your favorite story of God’s miracle-working grace, and why?

Also, if this post has touched you in any way, would you consider sharing to bring encouragement to others that might need hope this season?
