Hearts Ablaze

Outward stirring. Life whirling. Increasing infernos burning…

Hearts ablaze.

Igniting during trying times.

Looking back and seeing…..

His hand steady. His face constant.

My heart desperate…to seek Him.

He leads.

Saying….

Don’t look back.

The world attacks.  Brothers and sisters…combat.  Wars of pride.  Flesh made weak. The internal sin within.

Us all.

And the days progress where we cannot hide in shrouds of lies….or complacency.

Everything we hold…Except Christ…Exposed.

No other way but to lay a hold….The Rock.

The clinging…not a choice.  The only way…to not get washed away….from hope.

By tyrants…waves…of weakening all around.  Luring.

But then, I see…

Freedom is not just cleaving…

But in Him, we can actually breathe….under water.

And the water that was meant to purify….is also life.

In it.  We are free.

We need not fear. Basking in His delight…as long as we cleave to Him.

His way. His hope.  His call.

Lord, take it all.

Find me as I came…

Naked.  Nothing.

Abandoned to your throne.

Here…without disguises. Compromises.  A home.

Alone….if not with you, my Savior.  My Rock. My Redeemer. My everything.  My King…

To you I cling.

As storms rage and tides rise.

In you alone…yes you alone….

I know….and am learning….and will remember….

In you alone….

Is Life!
