Second Chances

Peter, denier, a second chance.  Zacheus, the collector, redeemed by grace.  Mary, the Martyr, The Doubter too.  Second chances.  Them & me too.  Who can fall beyond His reach.  We lift, stand, rise, not on our own strength.  The broken, The Healer.  The hurting, Our Friend.  Jesus, Messiah, our Victorious Friend. A Conqueror, Companion. Yet, King of All.  Lord.  Savior.  Lord.  Friend.

The one lost sheep, wandering from the fold.  The Shepard leaves the ninety-nine to bring the one home.

Good son, yet bad sons prodigals away. Yet, His Father?  Arms open.  Willingly forgave.  Jonah, the prophet who was thrown to a fish. A second time.  Forgive.  A chance to try again.  The woman at the well, marriage, all relationships fell.  Lord, Savior, anointed her, her town to tell.  Paul, the persecutor, spread the gospel well.  Each.  A stone cast.  Found overwhelming welcome still.

The man on the cross.  A sinner.  Rightly so.  His last breath so close.  His eyes before they close.  See.  A Savior.  Acknowledge the sinless one.  Confess.  Repent.  Ask to be one of Jesus friends.  This day.  A Kingdom shared.  The sinner soon turned saint.  Redeemed not by his own works, but only by His grace.
Second Chances.  It’s never too late.
