YOU, are UNITE!

When I started this journey into the bloghop world, I didn’t know what to expect. I have never been one into hosting much.  Yet, God has been pealing me from myself.

And when I started UNITE. it was because my heart ached.  Seeing people….even Christians, at times….so divided.

I saw the secular world UNITING, in a way that I once understood.  Yet, I struggled to get why believers often stood…..

One foot on their doctrine.  Another pointing fingers.  One isolated.  Another declaring wildly their freedom.  And so on and so on…..

What divides us, really, I thought.

And to be honest, when starting UNITE, it was because I felt that deep chill that comes over you, convictingly saying, “Will you obey me….or not?”

And I felt I had no choice. I felt it was either purposeful rebellion in my spirit…..or obedience.  There was no middle ground.

Still, to be honest, it took weeks….O.k. maybe more like months, to actually be brave enough to step on the ledge of this blogging world….and jump.

See I am good at creating my own world.  Living in my own castles. Surrounding myself with Christians, or people that aren’t abrasive, or at least are in agreement with what I think…and how I pursue the world.

Yet, Christianity isn’t always easy.  Sometimes it’s just messy.  And to really live like Jesus, means we can’t be afraid of a little dirt.

So, I stepped out and agreed that I needed to branch out.  Choosing obedience over fear. Wanting a group where  UNITY was the theme inspiring others, UNITING people that otherwise, might not engage with each other.

And in my shock, not only did you UNITE here. But, you are the one that most blessed me.

I am learning from you….

  • About humility.
  • About what a mother and wife are really supposed to be.
  • About the history and those that paved the way for our freedom.
  • About theology.  And differences/similarities in everyone’s viewpoints.
  • About creativity.
  • About youthfulness.  And wisdom.  And every age in between.
  • About grace and mercy.
  • About laughter and what it means to live life in light of what Jesus paid for.

Yes, you are teaching me….How to run more fervently.  Seek God more earnestly.  Be vulnerable in a way that I never dreamed could be possible…

And for that….I THANK YOU!!!

So everyone reading, I dedicate this Link-up to you!  I dedicate it to believers/nonbelivers, people from all walks, ranges, and histories.

And I thank you for opening the window to your world….Letting us get a glimpse of you!

We are stronger together at UNITE.  Yes, I am stronger now that you are here at UNITE….

Again, from the bottom of my heart, I say THANK YOU!

  1. I so appreciate your openness and willingness to obey the call from God. Yes, I, too, learn so much from each person who unites here. We are the Body of Christ and He wants us as one. May this be so. Caring through Christ, ~ linda

  2. Dear sweet Jen
I feel your heart and trepidation when you started this link-up. This is an issue that has been heavy on my heart as well. Everything we consider important is of no importance to our Pappa when the unity in His life and love is absent. That is what Christianity is all about. Everything the sweet Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus does in and through us, all to the glory of our Father. That is, in my mind, the only doctrine we should have. Thank you for obeying your Pappa and being our gracious hostess every week at Unite.
    Much love and blessings
    Mia

  3. Love what you are doing here Jen, and that you were called (and listened to that voice!) to host and support and UNITE! It’s a pleasure and inspires my day to learn and share what I read here.

Blessings sweet sister; have an amazing week in His grace!

  4. Jen, thank you for being sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s ‘deep chill’ when He imprinted UNITE onto your heart. And thank you for your obedience… You’ve done a beautiful job of bringing so many diverse women together… Just as the Father planned.
Blessings and love to you my sweet friend ~ Mary
